Who would I be if I wasn't me....

My sis in law blogged about who she would be if she wasn't herself and if she could choose, so this is who I would choose:

Wyatt thinks I would look good as Queen Latifah.

But his all time favorite girl is Jessica Simpson....No thanks!

I think Megan Fox is pretty and wouldn't mind looking like her! I think that if I did choose anyone, right now I think I wouldn't mind looking like her: Alessandra Ambrosio.

Really random post. REALLY!

It is very very very humid today. I walked outside and came in looking as if I just got out of a pool. Ok, its not that extreme! It was pretty humid this morning though! A good 94% humidity.

We went to the zoo again today (finally we see the sun after a week and a half of flash flooding non stop!) and saw most of the animals. It was fairly warm and overcast, so it wasnt too bad. Hailey did have a spill though. We hadn't been at the zoo for more than 10 mins and she got so excited to show our friends the sea lions and ran into someone and skidded across the sidewalk and scraped her elbow up pretty bad. Shes a trooper though! She pulled through!

Our house lately has been starting horribly early. Cassidy thinks its funny to wake up at 6. Wyatt this week hasn't been getting home until 12:30-1:00 am. I haven't been sleeping so good (maybe its because I choose to be lazy and not get anything done except sit around all day!) and Hailey has been having mega meltdowns lately. Cassidy thinks its funny to start out the day bright and early! After all, the early bird gets the worm right? Not at this house! The early bird gets a kick in the pants! ;0) It wouldn't be so bad if Hailey woke up at 6 as well. Poor girl gets woken up by her sister, doesn't nap during the day, and by 5 pm is a totaly basket case! I think I am going to move Hailey in to my room tonight and see if she will sleep a little longer! Another thing, Cassidy is a basket case by 5pm too! I dont know what to do! Maybe now that the sun is out I need to wear them out a little bit outside...

So now is my dillema. Do I allow Cassidy to take naps and suffer through? Or do I keep her up and see if she sleeps through the mornings? I mean at least until 7. I can function if the clock reads 7.  Ugh.

Each child is so different. Wyatt and I were talking today and he said that he remembered taking Hailey to math class with him when she was Cassidys age. We both chuckled imagining him taking Cassidy to math class. Or anywhere. I guess it is good to have a good kid right off the bat and then she can teach the other children how to act and to obey.

I finally got to go to the temple here on Wednesday. In Relief Society they announced that there was a temple group and they were going to go to the temple and to meet at the church by 9:30. I was excited! I didn't know where the temple was and I thought it would be good to go and meet some sisters in the ward. It was me and one other lady. Thats ok though! Wyatt was able to stay home with the girls and spend some much needed time with them. *they bawl every night wanting their daddy!* I have to say, this temple was BEAUTIFUL! So very small and cute! Thats how I described it to Wyatt when I got home. Cute. haha. It was really very pretty though! I had a good experience and I hope that I'm able to go again while we are here! I want to be able to go to as many temples as I can go to! I have already been to Provo, Mesa, Cardston, Ogden, Logan, and now Oklahoma. I told Wyatt that we should plan a date every month to go to a different temple in Utah. We could get to so many different ones! It would be awesome! The next closest one here is in Dallas. I dont know if I will have a chance to get there! 4 hours away..I do want to be able to go to the temples on the way to Canada sometime. See if we could make it an extra day or so to stop and do a session.

Anyways this post is so very random! I guess I had a lot of different things to say! Remember: keep fit and have fun! ;0)

F.H.E

We had family home evening tonight and it was one that I had wanted to do for a while now. Mostly I have been wanting to talk to Wyatt about it, and since he's so busy, I figured that Family Home Evening would be the best place!!

Wyatt and I (ok, who am I kidding! Mostly me!) have a problem with consistency in punishment for the girls.  So we sat down today and talked about what "rules" we need to have in the house. We came up with a fairly good list! Hailey had fun giving us the rules so we had some funny ones like, "Use a tissue and dont pick your nose!"

The best part about the whole thing was letting the girls and us decide on the consequences. Hailey was awesome about it. We would say, "Ok, what's going to happen if we hit?" She would say, " BED!" haha. So she got it down pretty good. Im excited to see how this goes down because I think its good that they helped make the decision on what happens when they can't follow the rules.

Here are the rules that we came up with and the consequences that follow if the rules are broken:

no screaming - sit in the corner for the amount of time as you are old.

no yelling - corner. Amount time/age

no hitting - corner. Amount time/age

no hair pulling - corner. Amount time/age

no lying - corner. Amount time/age

no pinching - corner. Amount time/age

no pouting - bed. Amount of time/ age X 2

no whining - bed. Amount time/age X 2

no throwing fits - bed. Amount time/age X 2

no biting - tobasco sauce. One drop

no spitting - tobasco sauce. One drop.

Most of these are for Cassidy. It was hard to get her to contribute to the lesson, but Im sure that if we stick to it then she will understand and remember. I need to remember that she is a smart girl and she does understand! The hardest part is to be consistent enough to get them to remember.

With the lying that Hailey has been doing, Wyatt and I had a talk with her and so far she hasn't lied. When I ask her if something is done, she will let me know honestly. She has also been taking the blame for what she has done. Yay!

Dream Homes

I had some time on my hands today when the girls were sleeping, and Wyatt has been looking at land and houses in Utah and so I had some fun looking up some sweet looking houses. And kitchens.

This one here is one that I like. The one thing that I would do, ok, ONE of the things that I would do, is instead of making the logs on the ceiling connected to the ceiling, I want a vaulted ceiling and then having the logs just go across... yea. I'm weird I know.

I would put this kitchen in either one of these two houses. I like this first one a lot. Mostly just the yeard. I think it's pretty sweet.

This one here is cool too.

This kitchen here I would put into my Victorian style house. Big enough for you?? Haha. I like it!

These houses are sweet. I love the, as Wyatt calls them, " The circle things." Theres a house like this in Ogden, I'm not sure where it is, but its awesome. I love it! It was for sale a while ago, and I told Wyatt to buy it for me. There was a few problems though. The main one was it is in the middle of town and there is no land for horses. Nevermind the fact that its in a not so good part of town either!

One day we will be able to take pics of OUR house. Soon enough!!

Wedding

(NO that is not me and Wyatt. That is my grandpa and grandma Gilchrist. I don't have any wedding pics with me here. Just enjoy the pic anyways!!)

1) When was your wedding day? September 25th 2004

2) What day of the week was it? Saturday

3) Did you get married in a church? yep

4) How many in your wedding party?  Me, Wyatt, my parents, his parents, Tiffani, Derek.  So 8.

5) Where was your reception?  Wyatt's sister Megan's yard. It was awesome!

6) How many guests were invited to your wedding? A lot.

7) How long did you wait to Tie The Knot after your proposal? pssht. I have no idea! We had talked about marriage for a long time. Then he gave me the ring, but didn't propose. Then he proposed in .....august?? The same day that my sister and his brother rolled my truck.

8) Who did you hire as your photographer & videographer?  No one was  hired, we have a family friend who was asked to do it.

9) Did you have a DJ or a band?  No. That would have been awesome though!

10) Did your father walk you down the aisle?  No.

11) What color were the bridesmaid dresses & groomsmen vests?  Bmaid was green and I dont think there were even vests at my wedding! Sad day.

12) Who was your Maid Of Honor/Best Man? Tiffani was moh Wyatts bro Derek was his bm.

13) Who were your Bridesmaids & Groomsmen? refer to above question.

14) Did you have a Bridal Shower? I did. My young womens leader Becka threw one for me! It was fun!

15) What type of limo did you get?  No limos for me! Just a cute little ford escort!

16) Where did you go for your Bachelorette/Bachelor Party? I didnt have one, but I was in Utah at my Aunt Leslies house if you want to consider that...

17) What did your gown look like?  White short sleeved with sequence on the front.

18) How was the weather? Awesome. I wanted to get married in the fall, and in Utah it was still 100 degrees out! Very hot day!

19) Where did you go on your Honeymoon?  The Alaskan Inn. It was awesome!

20) What was your favorite part of your wedding day? When it was all over!

21) How long did you date before you got engaged? 1 year? A little less?

22) How did he pop the question?  We were walking around the Cardston Temple, and he took the ring off my hand (remember, he had already given me the ring!) and started to talk jibberish.  (Its really cute when he talks  jibberish.) Then  we sat on the bench and he started to put the ring back on me, but it was the wrong hand! haha. I made the switch without him even knowing! lol

23) Did he ask your parents’ permission? This is where it gets weird. We went with my parents on a drive so that he could ask my parents, but they were being weird and so he didnt really get to ask them. My mom kept telling him that he had to ask my dad, and Wyatt was waiting to ask him when they were alone, but that never happened. So no. He didnt ask for permission.

24) How long have you been married? 4 years 7 months

25) How old were you when you were married? I was 17 and Wyatt was 18.

26) Did you live together before you were married? Nope!

I Belive in Dance-ah!

I would LOVE to learn how to dance!! Any kind of dance I would LOVE IT!

Wyatt and I were watching Dancing with the Stars last night and they were dancing with these awesome flowy dresses and the stilettos! AH!

The Rumba. That would be AWESOME! I would have to convince Wyatt to learn to dance with me too, because it would be a litle awkward dancing with someone else like this!!

I think Ballet would be fun to learn too. Just to even be CLOSE to being that flexible would be awesome!

I think my all time favorite dance to learn and even watch would be the Salsa. Look at that dress! Could you imagine being thrown around and dancing in that? I would LOVE IT!!  *sorry I have no idea why this is changing colour or being underlined.*

I love the costumes that they have and how intense they are. One day I will learn some cool dances and then I will be able to dance to my hearts content! Either that or else go to a professional Ballroom dance-off!

Moonlight Run

I went to Lethbridge and ran the Moonlight Run on Saturday! It was awesome! I'm not in any kind of shape, and that's why I was so stiff yesterday and today!! The above pic is everyone at the starting line. I was a few rows back with Wyatt's Aunt Marla. Yea, I was pretty intimidated!!
This is me when I ran across the finish line. The time was 1 hr. 5 min and 38 sec. I booked it the last leg of the race. I almost threw up at the end!!
This is me all crazy before, thinking whatever it was that I was thinking!
This is me after. Completely beat! I don't know how people can do that and enjoy it!! ;0) I beat Aunt Marla though!! Woo hoo!! Ha ha.
I have tons of pictures from Edmonton and Calgary, but don't have the time right now! I will let you all get excited to see those fun ones for a little bit at least!! Enjoy!

Hockey Game

Last night we went to the Lethbridge Hurricane hockey game! They played the Red Deer Rebels!
AHH! The reason one goes to a hockey game! To see the imfamous zamboni! LOVE THEM!

My sweet sister Sam. She invited me to come to the game with her. The senior choir was singing "Oh Canada" for the start of the game. I was lucky enough to see that! Too bad I didn't get a picture though. I was helping out with the other teachers and I got to see them from the back...I suppose I could have taken a pic! Oh well!

Here we are enjoying the game with our blue tounges!

The reason for the blue tounge! Sam got a blue raspberry ice thing. It was good, but cold! If I had remembered that hockey was played on ice, I would have brought a coat, and not just a sweater! It was chilly! I don't think I needed the icey to make me turn blue!

The highlight of the evening! Sam got a puck!! Some random man came up to Sam, tapped on her foot and handed her the puck. It was awesome! She even brought it to school today!

This is a close up of the puck! On the side of it is says LINDSAY, so clearly it should be mine...;)

Obviously we thought this guys hair was CRAZY! Little did we know that it was the "in" thing to do with guys hair! He wasn't the only one with a mohawk! There was quite a few others!

This is the Hurricanes mascot. We tried to figure out what he was, thinking he was a bear! We still aren't too sure because he has horns or something on the top of his head!

This is his jersey! Twister is a good name for a Hurricane mascot!

For half time, or whatever they call it in hockey, they had these little 4 and 5 year old boys come out and play a game for us!

Check out the laces on the one kid! BRIGHT GREEN! I loved it!

These two slipped! The one in the blue slipped right into the side of the net, and the white guy went right in! We had a good laugh over that!

OK, this little guy was my favorite! He was the smallest and he got tired! He was way over in the middle of the ice and he lost his glove and started to skate away. Someone told him so he went back to get it and slipped all over the place! He was a cutie!

This number 20 we were trying to get a picture of his jersey the WHOLE night! His last name is COWEN! He was a stinker and wouldn't come over to us so we could take his picture!

So we had to snag one of him as he was skating away. This is the best we got!

This guy was another one that we wanted to get! His last name was GROSS and we thought that it was pretty hylarious! I guess that's what happens when you hang out with a 12 year old!

We sat 6 rows up from the ice, (or rather, our tickets said that's where we sat!) and then decided to move down to the very first row. It was pretty intense! The puck came flying into the glass, and there were a few times the skaters rammed into the glass right in front of us! Very cool!

This is the Hurricanes goalie. He got a little bored as you can tell! He would randomly skate back and forth and around and then he was doing these weird things. He would sit down and stand up and sit down again! If you can believe it, we got a kick out of that too!

The best part about hockey is the fights!

The best is that the refs just sit there and let them happen! Ha ha. It's pretty much awesome!

They finally break it up.

In this pic there are two fights happening!

It was awesome! My first hockey game! Did some good cheering and had some good laughs!

The Hurricanes won 7-1.

Bathroom

This is the before bathroom shot. The walls are not yellow. The flash just went weird. There are flowers up on the wall. It was a flowery bathroom!

This is a better shot of the wall colour before. Notice the flowery curtain?
Cant have that!

Another shot.

She was painting ponies. It looked a little abstract to me! She was an AWESOME helper! We did this when Cassidy took a nap. Could you imagine an 18 month little girl COVERED in red paint? Thats all I saw.....

Haha. I love this one! I just HAD to have Hailey do it!! She LOVED helping me!

This is the floor...This is what happens when a 3 year old helps you and you dont think about putting anything on the floor. A good hour scrub and it mostly came off! There is still a little bit of red splotches. Just little ones though!

Here is the final product. Ok that's a lie. We haven't put up the decor yet! On this wall here, we want to get in Japanese the word "bathroom" or something clever like that. My dad went to Japan on his mission and we were going to ask him to help us with that. For all we know it might say "I'm a dork!"

Im really diggin the white and the red. Its sharp! At least I think so! I dont have to live here and deal with a bright red bathroom! We, or rather, I want to get a white shower curtain, a fabric one, and either get my dad to write cool Japanese words on it, like shower or toilet or something neat like that. We went through his missionary trunk last night and found some cool post cards that we want to frame and put up on the walls. When the decor is done we will let you know!!
