The girls, Kylie, and I went to the Calgary Zoo on Friday! Seriously the BEST ever! You name it they have it!! We spent a good 4 hours at the zoo, and hurried through the last part because we were tired! You could spend a whole day there and not be bored!!
What I love about the Calgary zoo is that its got a Dinosaur park thing in it. Hailey LOVED it! Its not as good as Ogdens, in fact, all of the dinosaurs were old and falling apart, but still. It was awesome!

It was a beautiful day! It started out a little bit chilly, but then warmed up enough to just be in sweaters and not worry abut our coats.

Here is Hailey really close to an anteater. Its amazing to think that we could have touched so many animals if there wasnt any glass in the way!

A new thing that they put in the zoo was a Ray tank. They had a few rays and all they did was go in circles. They have them in the same area as the elephants. It was neat!

Ok, first of all I ADORE tigers. I think they are absolutely GORGEOUS! They had 3 of them at the zoo. This one was asleep behind the glass, but check out how close we were! SWEET!

Then we went around and this guy was awesome. He was pacing back and forth trying to find a place to lay down. Man, he was beautiful!

This is him again. I love tigers!

Here is Kylie and Cassidy chasing a duck that was out randomly!

They had a neat playground that we didn't have time to stop at, but they had this kangaroo statue that the girls climbed in! My little joeys!

Cassidy was liking the turtle there behind her, but right as I snapped the picture she decided she liked something else!

The rainforest part was cool! Very humid and warm. They had gorillas there. The baby is a few months old I believe.

They have a place where you can climb up and look down on the gorillas. This baby looked right up at us!! It was AWESOME!

We went down the stairs and this little baby came right up to the window. If there was no glass we could have held her!

Mommy monkey and baby playing!

Dad just chillin!

This is the water that the hippos were in. The fish were HUGE!

The giraffes and the hippos were in the same area, just different cages. The hippos were closer. See how close Hailey is to the fence where the hippos are! AHH! It was awesome!

Just like the Hogle zoo, Calgary has a baby giraffe too!!

This is why I wanted to go! I LOVE hippos! They have redone the hippo part since I was there YEARS ago! We went around and came up to this guy, but there was another one in the water. We didn't know that he was there or I would have tried to get picks of him in the water. He came out of the water though and it was awesome! They have warning signs at the zoo too. I should have taken a picture!! It said "Stay back, we like to mark our territory! You might get sprayed!" We were lucky enough to be there when this guy "sprayed" his territory (fling his poo with his tail! GROSS!) and even luckier to not get hit by it!!

The worker was spraying water, cleaning up the poo and was spraying it into the hippos mouths! They loved it!

Look at the size of their mouths!! Their teeth are pretty nasty too!

The two of them were HUGE! SOOO FAT! And SOO CLOSE! WE could reach out and be inches from touching them!

Cute little ears!
Of course my silly little self didn't charge the camera, and the batteries ran dead before we finished in the African side. They had a male lion and 3 lionesses, and a few zebras. Then we went to the "Canadian Wilderness" side. They had moose, wolves, eagles, mule deer, buffalo(which I was upset about because they were supposed to have a white buffalo, but no where in sight! Sad I know!) The pictures from all of those animals are with Kylie on her camera.
We got back to Cardston and I asked Hailey what her favorite thing about the zoo was. Her clever little self answered, "Uhh, the animals." Haha. What a goof!
The zoo was the last thing we did before coming home! I have more pics from Edmonton! Get excited!
